Veterans Day Parade: Our Resilient Heros
Friday, November 11, 2011
11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The parade will run north from the VA Medical Center, beginning at Seventh Street and Montecito (north of Indian School Road). It will turn west on Camelback Road and proceed to Central Avenue, then turn north to Bethany Home Road, where it will end at North Phoenix Baptist Church.

With over 200,000 expected to attend and one of the largest of its kind, Carl T. Hayden's VA Medical Center's annual Veterans Day parade will feature nearly 100 entries. Showcasing Military and civilian marching units, color guards, military vehicles, equestrian units, floats, balloons, and bands.

Our Veterans Day Parade commemorates and honors the nation's veterans. This year's theme, "Home of the Free, Because of the Brave" embraces the meaning of Veterans Day and is meant to pay special homage to those who have served and those who continue to serve our country in military operations, particularly in Irag and Afghanistan.
